What do you notice
It's great hearing Matt talk about praying and wanting his children to be good and happy people. Been praying for both your families in my daily Rosary, Tucker. I hope this is a helpful explanation regarding praying to our Lord Jesus through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary!
Prayers are just requests for help. Prayers are not magical incantations that manipulate reality. And God isn't a magical butler/genie! The word prayer comes from the Latin word "precaria" which means to make a request. In old English, this could be a request made to anyone, but, as time passed, prayer became making a request of God, even though traditionally it had a much wider usage, which is why Catholics may say "praying to Mother Mary and other saints," and, for clarification, may use words "seeking" or "asking" when we pray to our Lord Jesus Christ through the intercession of a saint.
Previously tried writing multiple times trying to reference Bible Verses such as Hebrew 12:1-2 and James 5:16-17, and explaining saint intercession, which doesn't contradict Jesus being the one mediator, and everything flowing through Him, but they didn't work.
I believe we got the Bible, which has the historically reliable documents The Gospels, from the Church, and the Church precedes the New Testament, and through the history of the popes, the Catholic Church can be traced back to Jesus establishing it as His Church, and even before that, when God raised up the people of Israel, that was the community. The Bible was not read in isolation. They would read the Bible with and through the community. And just like as Christians for 2,000 years, we read the Bible with and through the Church, the lens of the interpretation of the Magisterium which is the teaching office of the Church and the motherly role of the Church. And something like praying the Rosary is not something the Magisterium created, it was something people voluntarily started to do, and it eventually put its blessing on it.
Mary is not God (I believe in only one God and worship one God according to the First Commandment, unless I'm being prideful putting my will before Him, making myself my own god). She is a saint, but being that she is with Jesus in Heaven, I ask for her intercession to our Lord (and for sake of brevity, I'll say I "pray to Mary"), similar to how I'd ask people pray for me (please do! I'm a broken sinner in need of many prayers), but I trust she is a saint in Heaven so I believe it is helpful to ask for her help, especially being so close to her Son. There is only one God. He is the source of all good. He is Goodness. He is Love!
"To love is to will the good of another."
-St. Thomas Aquinas
1 John 4:16 We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us.
God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him.
I believe Lord Jesus Christ is the mediator, and our Blessed Mother Mary leads us to Him. She prays for us on our way to Him. When I refer to Mary as my mother, please know I am not taking away respect due to my one and only God, Lord Jesus Christ. I believe loving people Jesus loves helps us love Him more, so the more I love Mary, the more I love God, and Jesus gave Mary to us as our mother on the Cross.
John 19: 26-27 When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
Mother Mary, the first Christian with her choice to say "yes" to my one and only God's will, I believe she is the number 1 model for sainthood for both men and women. She did God's will perfectly in every respect from the moment of her conception, listening to every single one of His commands. Her choice to say "yes"
Luke 1:38 Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.
to God's will ushered in salvation for the world, and she did so knowing the sacrifices and sufferings that would result from her decision, but, humbly, accepted the privilege of containing the God of the Universe her womb, and then becoming Jesus' most intimate friend, companion, and greatest consolation while on Earth. She was the devil's ultimate humiliation! I believe God is the King of the universe, having all power of the universe, but God chose Our Lady, a humble lowly woman the privilege of smashing the head of the devil.
God bless you Tucker and everyone. Happy Second Week of Easter!
One of my favorites regarding defending the dignity of life-
When Mother Mary was pregnant with Jesus, she went on an about eighty mile joyous journey to visit her cousin Saint Elizabeth (patron saint of expectant mothers and pregnant women) in her hour of need, Elizabeth said referencing her tiny child in her womb John the Baptist who was conceived when she was in old age:
Luke 1:41-44 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
"My son obsesses over subjects for months"
Then he says …
"I dont think people should obsess over things"
Interesting 🤔
good show.
Tucker is a weirdo. Good on him for doing what he is doing but after hearing Nicholas F. Talk about his upbringing and his fake personality i can barely listen to him.
Matt Walsh doesn’t appreciate the diversity of familial structures within western society just within the period of Christianity.
Is Tucker running an Op? His father was clearly in the CIA
Cool it with the antisemitism , bud !
Alot of video games (not GTA ETC) actually stimulate the imagination..I have been playing a realistic space flight game called star citizen that is fundamentally correct on the flying aspect
Once in a while I'll think Matt Walsh has something interesting today and then, not long after, he invariably opens his mouth and passes me off.
It's not for him to say who can have a child, use a surrogate, get a supermarket donor. Biological parents "end up" gay all the damn time. Can two parents of the opposite sex be the best way to parent? Sure? Can they also not? Yep. Can Dave Rubin have kids if he wants to? ABSOLUTELY.
Foster care is better than gay parents? Prove it!
There's no permission slip required to be a parent and as with straight or single parents, all that is required is basic care and hopefully we all get more. Can gay parents F up their kids? Sure. Can straight parents. All the f'ing time. I don't think your values are best for your children, Walsh, but that's the way you're choosing to raise them.
This guy is fired, wink wink nod nod.
Weed does not make you anti social
I was orphaned as a baby in Ryazan, and was raised in another place by Christians, thank God. Even that, is traumatic and had a major impact to this day that is invisible. My career came to a halt basically with the advent of DEI also. DEI has killed so many industries and so many of us aren't able to get a job as a result or progression in careers. Merit is stripped out and those of us from backgrounds that would be much harder than some of these spoiled brats, they still make their cowardly false virtue signalling arguments to feel morally justified while still inflicting great injustice and destruction on others lives, making things more unequal, less diverse, and less fair! It strips the motivation of good people to work hard or at all, and this is all a push of Neo-Communist movements from the likes of CPC and other official enemy/hostile nations outside the little sweet Western bubble, that every country now is desperately flocking into, to take advantage of. It is a push towards very bad things and it must be stopped!
This is a great way to isolate gays out of the party, and closeted republicans deeper into the closet, that’s for sure😂
Weed turns you inward, like that's a bad thing.
OMG another grown ass man threatened and obsessed with "the gay" and Trans, Wake Up "The Gay" has been here since time began. Grow up ,Get over it or move out of the way and obsess about something that maters. Sounds like a control issue.
20 millions illegal came in with no due process to the American citizens. 20 million can leave without due process.
Weed has made lives better in several concrete, measurable ways—medical, psychological, social, and even economic. Let’s break it down:
1. Medical Relief for the Suffering
Chronic Pain: Cannabis has provided an alternative to opioids for countless people dealing with conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, and post-surgical pain. Unlike opioids, it’s nearly impossible to fatally overdose on weed.
Epilepsy: CBD—a component of cannabis—has helped reduce seizures in children with rare disorders like Dravet Syndrome, where pharmaceuticals failed.
Cancer Patients: Weed helps with chemotherapy-induced nausea and stimulates appetite, which can be the difference between wasting away or staying nourished during treatment.
2. Mental Health & PTSD
While it’s not a panacea, for some—especially veterans and trauma survivors—weed offers relief from PTSD, anxiety, and insomnia. It's not perfect, but for many, it beats the side effects of SSRIs and antipsychotics.
3. Harm Reduction & Substitution
Many have replaced dangerous drugs (alcohol, opioids, benzos) with cannabis. It’s a form of harm reduction. Weed doesn’t make you punch your wife, crash your car into a crowd, or drop dead of an overdose. That alone improves lives.
4. Economic Opportunities
Legal weed industries have created jobs, funded public schools via taxes, and diverted billions from the black market. That’s real, tangible social benefit.
5. Freedom & Autonomy
For adults, the right to use cannabis responsibly is about personal liberty. A society that criminalizes a plant, while pushing booze at every corner, is not protecting people—it’s controlling them.
6. Spiritual & Philosophical Insight
For some, weed has sparked introspection, creativity, or a new perspective that led to positive life changes. No, it’s not magic. But it’s a tool. And for many, it works.

Bottom Line:
Not everyone needs it. Not everyone benefits. But millions of people have had their lives genuinely improved—or at least made more bearable—by cannabis. That’s not a culture war opinion. That’s observable reality.
Great conversation
