The Joe Rogan Election: A Clash of Influencers and Politics

Tonight, the Joe Rogan election brings a unique spotlight on the power of influencers in political campaigning.

In 2020, Joe Rogan made headlines by endorsing Bernie Sanders, a move that surprised many. Fast forward to the present, and Rogan finds himself endorsing Donald Trump while criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris and other Democrats for skipping out on his show. As he stated, "I don’t understand why they won’t appear on shows like mine."

The Missed Opportunity

Rogan divulged details about what transpired behind the scenes when Harris turned down the opportunity for an interview that could have reached an anticipated 50 million viewers. He expressed his eagerness to discuss various topics, saying, "I wanted to find that person…I don’t want to hear all the speeches." He underscored his commitment to an unedited, raw conversation, asserting, "There’s no going to be any editing."

The Election Landscape

Joining the conversation, former political speechwriter and CNN analyst John Avlon shared his experiences from his recent campaign for New York’s 1st Congressional District. Despite losing the race, Avlon observed a profound enthusiasm among Democratic voters, especially surrounding the American flag. He noted, "Democrats are thirsty for this idea of reclaiming the American flag…to build a broad, patriotic coalition to defend American democracy."

The Role of Influencers

The discussion soon turned to Rogan’s influence. His podcast, which boasted nearly 50 million views for Trump’s interview, showcased the increasing significance of influential figures within the decentralized media landscape. Avlon remarked, "Democrats need to get off defense…there’s a lack of authenticity in going into difficult environments."

He highlighted how the power of influencers has shifted political dynamics, asserting, "The role of influencers has a lot more power…than ground game in terms of getting into people’s heads."

Fundamental Issues at Play

While discussing the challenges facing society, Avlon underscored the economic struggles that plague the middle class. He stated, "Folks feel like they can work hard…and still not get ahead. It’s the economy, stupid." His campaign aimed to rebuild the middle class and address the disconnection between politics and economic stability.

A Message of Hope

Despite the exhaustion that politics often brings, Avlon concluded with an optimistic note. “I’m an optimist because I don’t see the point of being anything else," he said. He emphasized that even among diverging opinions, the desire for unity remains strong.

Conclusion

As we look ahead to the future of American politics and the role of influencers like Joe Rogan, we must consider the implications of these dynamics. Will politicians embrace the platforms that could expand their outreach, or will they continue to shy away from them? What do you think?

From what I understand, members of her campaign were afraid that if Harris sat down with Rogan, it would upset certain elements of the Progressive Coalition.
Now, if that’s true, then the Progressive Coalition needs to be disbanded.

Why is cnn still lying and why don’t they shut down ?

  3. @betsyfortenberry8964

The flag became a sign of MAGA precisely because democrats demonized our country and we the people rejected that. It was your own fault, and it was by design. It backfired, and now you're trying to act like we "stole" the flag. Par for the course gaslighting

  4. @DR-jd8vc

    Welp, no editing, no interview

  5. @jackmurad399

  7. @jg4698

Typical MAGAt responses, all personal attacks. Rogan covers himself dodging by always saying he's just a dope who doesn't know anything, true but he keeps picking the wrong answers anyway. He "learns" from YouTubes, funny when he peels eyeballs with his latest stunt conspiracy.

Guess what, Bernie? Joe Rogan would have chewed up Kamala Harris and spit her out!

Harris didn’t do the Rogan interview because she was scared silly!

  9. @drichardson007

….Democratic voters “want to reclaim the flag…” meanwhile they want to fly the Pride and BLM flag at every school, City Hall which they control and during Kamala’s campaign rallies didn’t recite the national anthem. This is not patriotic at all.

Democrats have a flag, the Rainbow flag

  13. @erickariuki6842

Very many Bernie Sanders voted for Trump in 2016 and 2024. Tulsi Gabbard fell out with Clinton because of it.

  14. @MF-bl6ed

The Dems spent years gaslighting all of us about being racist homophobic misogynistic white supremacy nazis and can’t figure out what went wrong

  15. @Gargantuahotel

Why is he always smiling? So fake

  16. @alexsavchuk8190

The only flag democrats are reclaiming is pride flag

  17. @dragonballz4998

It wasn't going to be an "interview" that's what they don't get

  18. @razman4240

    Bernie is so correct.

  19. @matthewbernier9587

Most Americans saw through the campaign bs and compared the last 4 years to the Trump years. That made the choice obvious

  20. @iblamegravity2341

Interesting points but question . . . Who is Harris?🤔

  21. @zacherynixon6009

"Hey here's this guy that lost his campaign and was also wrong about the election, let's get his opinion on this" 10/10 intro

  22. @rossi20125

That’s a fine line to walk to acknowledge Joe Rogan’s impact but not acknowledge you and all of main stream media mean nothing anymore

  23. @turbodsm96

“No edit” which is total opposite of CNN. Boycott CNN, they’re terrible.

  24. @tavoisamuels2756

Kamala will be a fun fact talking point in 5 years. Most of dems will forget they supported her the same way they forgot how much they disliked her in 2020.

  25. @ricklannis6244

She wasn't capable of doing a REAL personable interview, she would have veered off into two hours of word salad and nobody wants to listen to that.

  26. @MirzokayumMirzoev-o3s

So by defending the "Democracy", you were willing to keep the hybrid wars, inflation and border crisis. That's why People had spoken and said no more! Keep knocking on doors and bothering people 😂

  27. @juliusfishman7222

Lol the right was never afraid . Just goes to show even the news media were in a ecochamber
