In this video, economist Oren Cass argues that the postwar global economic order was never intended to benefit the United States, and ultimately, it didn’t. He discusses the significant changes brought about by Trump’s policies, which have disrupted the established system.
Join us as we dive into key topics, including the essence of conservatism, the decline of family values in America, and the societal issues that separate generations. We’ll explore the effectiveness of Trump’s tariffs, the potential for bringing manufacturing back to the U.S., and the most critical products to focus on. Additionally, we examine the consequences of Trump’s policies, reactions from Washington, and the implications for future U.S.-China relations.
Stay tuned as we outline how to reclaim an emphasis on family values and the challenges posed by progressive attempts to reshape conservative beliefs.

TALK ABOUT TRUTH
whole generations with no opportunity but silence on it for decades i noticed reading the comments from americans regarding decades of lost jobs on a vid about poor chinese hurting and going out of business potentially … i knew it was better in china all through entire obama years , they can ride bikes to a job we didn't have any that could support living but it's been decades on others accounts since the 70s , it must have started 60's counter culture was really counter american business , same as anti establishment ( established business_) the only industry untouchable to outsource or strangle with the marxist union if it stayed was tobacco and that's about when tobacco started causing cancer and they alter nicotine , they can alter carcinogens whether natural or not imo …edit" it's obvious dem americans were their tool because now their warmongers role for their masters
it's stupid, sick funny they try to say on pmsnbc the "news" funded by rich people who hate and want to destroy america, that there will be a "food shortage" without china ….wtf , eat sh*t , commie chinese kosher racket food , will end up in a labor camp in sub indochina …for fooood /// EDIT: or the dumasses who know nothing about cars so except they have to rush to buy a foreign one before the "tariffs hit" and there is no outcome. pathetic [they all need a man, or the male ones to become one] ] … basically or culture has imbedded to go broke and borrow or borrow from the bank instead and work foir the bank mostly the control of usury and also the ability to control currency value so once all people and companies are all indebted to them they can lower the value of the currency , all anything was about since abraham lincoln centralized power to the infiltrated federal …
…the last sort of movie i watched was the story "king of stolen valor" documentary on here about the few year green beret guy who gave his wife aids and died in mexico from alcohol and gays , compounded by car crash and a final wife beating with permanent damage and aids , i hate the disease adiction , that guy was already weird but died without finding God imo …and wrong side , i guess it's interesting because true story …
Hi Tucker , my idea was maybe Mr. Trump could buy made in USA Mr. Pillow's and Mr. Pillow could even make an institutional pillow for facilities and be bigger and it's be the hetero pillow label for a man or a woman or both ….hey since i've been watching your show along since stock market crash and ww6 , We prayed and God Listened , God has never let me down , had to mention
….EDIT: I just remembered last time Trump was president i thought there could be a bed size like "Presidential" what my idea was a King is like two twins but also sometimes longer , some hotels for example have double but double is meh , queen is so so meh, but anyway the Presidential instead two twin width would be a queen and a twin but sometimes longer , a must try or seller for hotels maybe for the penthouse rooms anyway but i thought projection tv would be a hit but nope , the only cheap ones are chinese on those or i probably wouldn't have a few …/rant
I love how Oren basically describes socialism & Tucker agrees how wonderful it is.
Great discussion!
Interview Scott Adams. Before it's too late
Sure it's working. Other countries are paying the tariffs, and US is making trillions of dollars out of nothing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
what's with all the ads. No I don't subscribe to YouTube to have ad free videos, but this interview had 3 times the amount of ads compared to other channels I watch
THIS!!! At 36:47, is something EVERY American needs to hear and know. I first heard this about 15 years ago. The FACT that Japanese cars use more American made parts than American cars are a big reason why they are more reliable. Don't think just because the badge on your vehicle says Chevy, Ford, Dodge, etc. means it's more "American" than Toyota or Honda. In many cases a Toyota or Honda is more "American" than anything coming out of Detroit. Shoot, Honda announced a couple of weeks ago that they're considering moving production from Mexico and Canada to the U.S because of the tariffs. That would mean 90% of all the vehicles they sell in America are made in America, by an American work force and most of the parts used in those vehicles are also made in America. Look at the reliability lists year after year and see who are ALWAYS at the top. Toyota, Lexus, Honda and Acura. This should tell anyone anything they need to know about buying their next vehicle. The proof is in the product.
The guess has a rudimentary understanding of the Baby Boom generation. Perhaps he has read the wrong books, and is given to simplistic answers.
The baby boomer generation was a reflection of the advent of the “Pill”, no generation prior had such leeway. No other factor in our lifetime was done more to bring us to our current societal position than the pill. Perhaps only fire had a greater impact on humanity.
Without the pill Europe nor the U.S. would be in a migratory crisis. The two income family would be much much more of a rarity. I could go on about the pill but I’m sure I have been clear enough.
Other factors contributed to the contemporary view of the BB Generation.
Not the least of which is the greed of Wall Street, more relaxed social mores and the throw away philosophy of capitalism. Once this alchemy is taken into account you arrive at where we are today. The Baby Boomer Generation was just the first to have the “choice” available to them. The generation that reared the Boomer Generation grew up confronted with the harshness of a Great Depression then suffered a great world war. They of course wanted a better life for their children as any compassionate parent would but I am doubtful they failed their children, the Pill failed the society.

Great insights…Cass recommended by Vance.

No kids I've paid $80,000 in property taxes over 23 years in Illinois 67% of that goes to the public schools. Pay for your own brood.
Funny thing is we have absolute proof tariffs worked -1897 Dingley and 1922 Fordney.
This may be the most boring interview tuckers ever done
Tucker, if anyone can get Thomas Sowell on a podcast, it's you!!!!
Taking our taxes and spending them on institutions that support families sounds an awful like communism. Just saying…
I'm sorry, but to say that it's easy to ignore the societal problems that our country faced is delusional. You have to be obscenely naive to have not noticed the shift in our country. To live in a big city, and be surrounded by other people who have "good jobs" (21:10), is to ignore the other 10 million people who are making sure your city is running efficiently. Service industry workers have been struggling for 2 decades to make ends meet as they watch patrons of their establishments continue to reap the rewards of a society that overlooks them. You are ignoring the people who are all around you at any given moment, stop and talk to a human being who isn't ivy league educated for 10 minutes and you'll get a real sense of this country post 9/11 and post 2007 crash.
first time I've heard the "blob" analogy …love it!
Since COVID we have all learned that "experts" are just people with an opinion. Economics are complicated but I like the adage; show me the incentives and I will show you the outcome. In the seventies we basically defaulted the dollar, unions were getting a little too big for their britches, and companies got greedy for more profits from overseas cheap labor. Like anything that works, we let that system go too far. Now we're painted into a corner with our huge debt because no one wants to pay taxes, but everyone wants free stuff. Not a good combo. Maybe we need a national referendum to decide whether we raise more money for stuff, and if not then we cut spending. No fun choices are left.
2nd time listening to Oren Cass speak. Gotta say I love the guy! Articulate and grounded in reality. CMON guys let’s come together for our children’s sake!
You will be met with resistance..they will be met with fire and fury
Im sorry, but it is not my responsibility to facilitate others raising their children.
Sir, no one should be “ruling” over us, the American citizens. That its even in your thought process shows you dont grasp what we as free men living in a free country means
These “crats” make policy BUT dont have to live with the outcome of a failed policy. We need less policy, more freedom, service, forgiveness and gratitude
I think it's great to bring back the manufacturing here, but it doesn't work for every industry, every item, etc. For example, I do a hobby called Diamond Painting, and the main company I buy from is Diamond Art Club, a US based company that has their own factory over in China while their warehouse is in Texas. They've looked into the costs to build and run a factory in the US and it's 5-6 times the current cost to manufacturer their kits in China, so it's just not economically in the cards currently even if they were to stick with the tariffs at 125%. On top of this, the raw materials for the kits (resin usually) are also from China and cannot be sourced from elsewhere as it currently stands. Their best compromise at the moment is to move their factory to a country near China, but with better trade standing and tariffs than China. They're looking into it if this continues. Prior to this, being craft supplies, they had no tariffs at all.
I've also heard Learning Resources, a children's learning toy company, again US based, but manufacturer over in China, is also struggling for similar reasons. And I'm seeing it with a LOT of small businesses in several other industries too, like this one gal who does niche plush purses/cute aprons/knee socks/etc. I'm hoping this doesn't absolutely wreck small businesses like that… I totally get the large ones have the resources to quickly adapt, but the smaller ones, definitely do not, they tend to be on a knife edge.

Little Jamie dimon was so inept, stupid and incompetent he ran his bank into the ground and had to be bailed out by the people dimon despises the most; US taxpayers. Gold man Sachs bet against America and helped bring about one of the worst monetary collapses in history. Made lots of money. Goldman Sachs used AIG to insure their evil bets. When it became apparent AIG couldn’t cover their bets good old gay Barry bailed AIG out with my tax dollars. Clinton pushed to repeal the glass steigal act which allowed that rat bastard Jack Welch to turn GE into a commercial bank. And all of the latter is MY FAULT? Bailouts of car companies, prohibitions on energy production and endless stupid wars; all my fault. How about putting CEO’s in charge whose greatest talent is fellatio (Tim cook).
"My parents met overseas"

God bless you, Tucker.
I’m totally on board with the tariff policies. But I have a sincere question- Oren said that at the beginning of the podcast that trade policies were essentially based on foreign policy and, therefore were flawed. Then toward the end of the podcast, it was discussed that we are pressuring Canada and Mexico to enforce tariffs against China. So is the current policy simply a reflection of a foreign policy shift to stop China and keep the global order? Or is it truly a means to help the American people?
